Inspired by a visit to Brownsea Island, just off the coast of Dorset, where I live. In the ruined village of Maryland on the island, trees have grown up over the remains of the cottages and Virginia Creeper hangs down like a green, red and orange curtain, whilst some of the last remaining red squirrels in Britain search for food amongst the foundations.
